South Notts Hockey Club defeat Trent Vale 4-0 in the women’s competition
Two rivals met each other in district hockey as newly promoted South Nottingham Ladies came up against Trent Vale Ladies.
It was South Notts Ladies who won the day with an excellent 4-0 performance against tough opposition.
South Notts coach Euan Temple said that the speed of movement in the game, and excellent stick-skills by both teams were admired by spectators.
Temple added that Elizabeth Turner had a fantastic game in South Nottingham’s goal.
Despite the best efforts of the opposition and many shots from Trent Vale, Turner held firm and no goals got past her.
Becky Humphis scored two goals including one from a penalty corner,
"The significant winning score of 4-0 did not reflect the
closeness of the play," said Coach Temple.
Temple added that it was a good team performance from his side who played well together.
