Newark runners were out in force at the Lincoln 10k, park run events and the Charnwood open




Runners across the district were busy with many competing in the Lincoln 10k in the build up for the London Marathon.

George Hatton came in sixth for Newark Athletic Club securing a PB in 31-36.

Conor Pacey ran in the Reading Half marathon coming 18th in 1-10-40 as he bounced back from illness.

The first of the Charnwood open events took place on Sunday and Rob Lindsay started the season with a new personal best in the 1500m running 4-25.

Notfast Running Club were out in force at Park Runs across the country with ten members completing the Newark event.

Stuart Ashley completed the 28 mile Capital Challenge walking event in nine hours and four minutes for the club.

Maisie Mullett finished first in the under-13 girls in the Mini London Marathon trails and has now qualified to represent the East Midlands in the Mini London Marathon on Saturday, April 20.
