Hockey season draws to a close as some of the last games are played by Newark and South Notts hockey clubs

It was an amazing 4-2 win for the South Notts mens’ hockey 1sts over Nottingham Trent University as Harry Beedham (2) Michael Shap-land, and Tom Crossland all scored.

Newark men’s 1sts went down 9-2 against a tough Belper team.

The South Notts women’s 1sts got a dominating 9-1 win over Boots.

Becky Humphris scored an incredible five goals.

The Newark mens’ 2nd team got a pleasing 4-2 victory over Nottingham to stay in their current league for another season.

The Newark Ladies’ 2nds secured a 1-0 win over Boots in what was a hard-fought game.

Ann Crockett-McLean netted the only goal of the victory.
