Southwell City 6-0 Clifton All Whites: City one point from securing Notts Senior League Premier Division title
Manager Jonny Upton and his Southwell City side are one point away from sealing the Notts Senior League Premier Division title following last night’s 6-0 demolition of Clifton All Whites.
In what was a tough fixture on paper, the Brinkley outfit made light work of their visitors as they took the lead inside five minutes and never looked back.
It was Cal Law's free-kick that gave City an early lead, and his strike partner Liam Moran made it 2-0 with a tap-in after 26 minutes.
Law hit the third before the break and the fantastic football continued into the second half as Moran converted Ben Selby's cross for his second.
Selby turned from provider to scorer for Southwell's fifth on 61 minutes.
Moran then completed hit hat-trick with four minutes to play in front of a cheerful crowd of 228 — the forward was first to react after the Clifton 'keeper parried Matty Newton's effort.

In a summary on Twitter, Upton said: "The visitors were lively for large parts, but we were ruthless and controlled the second half."
On Saturday they travel to basement side FC Cavaliers in a 3pm kick-off.
City's final fixture will be played on Bank Holiday Monday at home to Dunkirk (5pm kick-off).
