Stanley Stannard to fight Lee Cutler at Vitality Stadium, AFC Bournemouth on undercard of Lawrence Okolie WBO cruiserweight defence against Chris Billam-Smith




Saturday night could be a life-changing fight for a Newark-based boxer as he fights on the undercard of a world title defence in front of thousands of people at Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth.

Carl Greaves' trained fighter Stanley Stannard who is currently undefeated, will take on Lee Cutler, a fighter with a 12-1 record in the lead-up to Lawrence Okolie WBO cruiserweight world title defence fight against Chris Billam-Smith.

The bout will be live on Sky Sports and will take place at the home of Premiership football club AFC Bournemouth.

The fight is a pivotal one in Stannard's career as it is an English super-welterweight championship eliminator.

This means that the winner of the contest will go on to challenge for the English title.

Stannard will be fighting ten rounds in the bout and knows he has to pace himself.

The 10-0 southpaw will be looking to draw on his experience to get his hand raised and he has previously fought an eight-round fight.

"I am excited to be able to display my talent in the upcoming fight," said Stannard.

"Lee Cutler has been beaten before and he is going to be beaten again."
