Spectators of Stage four of the prestigious Tour of Britain which will be returning to Nottinghamshire on Wednesday will be in for a treat with several well-known riders from the world of cycling taking part.

The six man line-up will be led by Yorkshire's Tom Pidock who narrowly missed out on overall victory last year.

Pidcock sat just three seconds down on Movistar Team’s Gonzalo Serrano when the race was curtailed in 2022 following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Widely regarded as one of the world’s most talented and exciting riders, the 24-year-old has Olympic, world, and national titles to his name.

Pidcock will be one of four home riders in the Grenadiers’ line-up, as Welshman and former stage winner Luke Rowe, Connor Swift, and debutant Ben Turner have also been selected to race for the team.

Rounding out the line-up will be international riders, Tour de France stage winner Carlos Rodríguez from Spain and American Magnus Sheffield.

INEOS Grenadiers are one of the most successful teams in modern Tour of Britain history, having won the second most stages (19) to date.

Sir Bradley Wiggins delivered the team’s sole overall victory in the event, which came in 2013 during their Team Sky era.

This is the 19th edition of the race, and it forms part of the prestigious UCI ProSeries.

A predicted 1.5 million spectators are expected to watch the 16 teams in action, capitalising on the free-to-attend nature of the event.
