Two Newark Striders hit personal bests in Boston Marathon

Both Jean-Louis Balestra and Steve Padgett recorded new best marathon times in Boston over the weekend.

Balestra (3-09-50) and Padgett (4-02-24) took on the 26.2 miles on Monday and both came away with new personal best times.

Meanwhile four Striders ran the Boston Half Marathon.

Mark Jackson (1-29-22), Hannah Jackson (1-46-25) who ran a personal best and she finished first place in her age group, Jacqui Jackson (2-05-15) and Niceeta Padgett (2-05-15) completed the race.

Elsewhere, Mark Winter completed the Leicestershire 10K at Prestwold Hall in 47-04.
