Elizabeth Wilson wins under-19 National Schools Championship golf tournament in Bristol as a 15-year-old




A young, up-and-coming golfer has won the under-19 National Schools Championship.

Elizabeth Wilson who is 15-years-old and represents The Minster School in Southwell also trains out at Norwood Park Golf Course.

The championship event was held at The Kendleshire, in Bristol, by the English Schools Golf Association (ESGA).

Wilson will now go on to represent England Schools against Wales in September, as part of the top five for girls and boys.

The county player, and member of the England Golf Midlands training squad, led the way with rounds of 71 and 74 to win by two shots as the Midlands also won the area championships.
