Zara Tindall and Oliver Townend to compete at Thoresby Eventing Spring Carnival
WORLD-CLASS riders, including Zara Tindall and Oliver Townend, will compete at the Thoresby Eventing Spring Carnival later this month.
Upcoming eventing stars of the future and top-level horses and riders, including those from France and Holland, will compete for the international class titles.
The world’s number one eventing rider, Oliver Townend, as well as one of the most recognisable and popular members of the royal family, Zara Tindall, are among them.
The event takes place at Thoresby Park from Friday, March 27, to Sunday, March 29.
Fans can also see outstanding local competitors performing, such as Imogen Murray from Leicestershire. Going into an Olympic year, Imogen and Ivan Gooden rank number seven in the world as an Olympic qualified combination.
The Thoresby Eventing Spring Carnival is a fantastic opportunity to see Olympic medallists in action at the beginning of the season as the top riders prepare for the worldwide Grand Slams.
Added to that is a host of other features and a shopping village that includes crafts and artisan.
A spokesman said: "As responsible event organisers, the protection and wellbeing of everyone who attends our events is always of paramount importance to us here at BEDE, so rest assured that we have taken steps to ensure the safety of everyone
"With that in mind, we have acted to minimise any potential risks by scaling back the family zone and the hospitality areas.
"This will limit contact in confined spaces, while still enabling visitors to safely enjoy this premier event with its countless attractions."
