Louise Redknapp stars in Dolly Parton's 9 To 5 The Musical at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham

Singer Louise Redknapp heads the cast of Dolly Parton’s smash-hit 9 To 5 The Musical as it heads to Nottingham next week. It is at the Theatre Royal from Tuesday to a week on Saturday.

In her role as Violet Newstead, Louise will sing her way through an original Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score by country star Dolly Parton.

Inspired by the cult film, 9 To 5 The Musical tells the story of Doralee, Violet and Judy — three workmates pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss.

Concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tables on their despicable supervisor, will the girls manage to reform their office, or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit?

Joining Louise is Vivian Panka, in her first professional role, as Judy Bernly and Stephanie Chandos as Doralee.

Sean Needham is Franklin Hart Jr, a role he played on many occasions in both the West End and on tour, Julia J. Nagle plays Roz Keith and Russell Dickson is Joe.
