Group rock the Palace

The Bon Jovi Experience at the Palace Theatre, Newark, on Friday night, went down in a blaze of glory.
The five musicians in the group looked and sounded like the real thing, especially lead singer Tony Pearce as Jon Bon Jovi.
They were all dressed like the real band in jeans and denim and leather jackets, with the drummer showing off his muscley arms.
The tribute started with some newer songs then asked the audience if they preferred new or old school stuff, before belting out Blaze Of Glory, Bad Medicine and a lively version of Living On A Prayer.
The audience sang along and everyone got up and danced.
For an encore they sang a rousing rendition of Lulu’s song, Shout.
The group appealed to a mixture of ages, and followers were dressed in Bon Jovi Experience T-shirts.
I can’t wait for them to return to the Palace — DS.
