Delving into women’s secrets

A show that delves into women’s deepest secrets makes a welcome return with a new, all-star cast. The Vagina Monologues is based on author Eve Ensler’s Vagina Interviews, conducted with women from all around the world and features Clare Buckfield, Vicky Entwistle and Chelsee Healey.

The witty and moving collection of tales gives voice to a chorus of lusty, outrageous, poignant, brave and thoroughly human stories.

Clare is best known for her roles in Grange Hill and 2Point4 Children and was a runner-up in Dancing On Ice. On stage she has appeared in Summer Holiday and The Little Shop Of Horrors.

Vicky played Janice Battersby in Coronation Street for many years but is no stranger to the stage.

Among her theatre credits is Hull Truck’s tour of Like A Virgin and a recent UK tour of Funny Peculiar. Chelsee, who plays Janeece Bryant in Waterloo Road, was a runner-up in Strictly Come Dancing.

She makes her stage debut with The Vagina Monologues, which can be seen at the Palace Theatre, Mansfield, on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
