Nightflix brings festive films to drive-in at Newark Showground

Movie fans can get into the festive spirit with a host of drive-in film screenings at Newark Showground over the next few weeks.

Nightflix, which screened movies at the showground throughout summer, is returning with a Christmas line-up.

From now until December 24, the company is screening a host of festive favourites, classics and blockbusters, which people can watch from the comfort of their own vehicles.

Among the screenings are Elf, Back To The Future, Die Hard, The Grinch, Nativity! Love Actually, and Home Alone.

On Christmas Eve there is a screening of The Polar Express at 5pm and Elf at 8.30pm.

Cars are spaced two metres apart and movie-goers should stay within the vicinity of their vehicle — except for toilets and refreshments — to meet social-distancing guidelines.

The film sound can be heard through the car’s FM radio.
