Legendary folk rockers Steeleye Span bring spring tour to Newark Palace Theatre
Fifty-six years after their formation, the pioneers of folk-rock are out on the road again.
Steeleye Span formed in 1969, with the vision of playing folk music in a contemporary, electric band format, and they’ve become one of the most influential names in British roots music.
Their latest tour will see them play at Newark Palace Theatre on May 11.
The band will continue to celebrate their famous past alongside their recent musical history, with their latest release, the Green Man Collection, offering new versions of three Steeleye classics as well as it’s long-lost title track by seventies band member Bob Johnson.
On this tour will be founding member Maddy Prior, Liam Genockey, Julian Littman, Roger Carey, Andrew “Spud” Sinclair and the latest addition, Athena Octavia.
Their new album Conflicted will be available exclusively on the road.
