AWOL to be performed at Coddington Village Hall under Live and Local scheme

The feelgood story of two pensioners who escape from a care home to go to a metal festival is told on stage next week.

AWOL, by Rob Gee, is staged at Coddington Village Hall on Sunday, February 9, from 7.30pm, as part of the Live And Local initiative that brings shows to rural venues.

AWOL is to be performed at Coddington Village Hall.

Cyril, who doesn't particularly like old people despite being one, learns that his estranged granddaughter Lily is about to have her big break with her thrash metal band, Abscess. Determined to support her, Cyril and his friend Neville embark on a journey that changes them forever.

AWOL is described as a joyous celebration of ageing, risk-taking and the surprises life has to offer even after retirement.
