Lightning Seeds to play Nottingham’s Rock City on 35th anniversary tour
A band’s anniversary tour is to celebrate 35 years of ‘pure joy’.
Lightning Seeds this year marks 35 years since the release of debut single ‘Pure’, in what was initially a solo studio project for Ian Broudie.
To mark the occasion, they announced a 17 date UK tour and a 20-track greatest hits album ‘Tomorrow’s Here Today: 35 Years of Lightning Seeds’ which was released on October 4 and has been dubbed a “masterclass in modern pop songwriting”.
The tour will call at Rock City, Nottingham, on Thursday, November 14.
Ian Broudie said: “Wow, I can't believe it's been 35 years. Our first single ‘Pure’ really opened the door to a life's worth of songs, shows and recordings.
“I owe everything to ‘Pure’ and I'm really looking forward to celebrating the 35th anniversary of its release with ‘Tomorrow's Here Today: 35 Years of Lightning Seeds’ greatest hits album and tour in 2024.”
