Out of the darkness and into the light as Everybody's Talking About Jamie comes to Nottingham's Theatre Royal
The true story of a boy with big dreams will be told next week as Everybody’s Talking About Jamie comes to Nottingham’s Theatre Royal for five nights.
Following a six-week run in Los Angeles, the UK tour will star Layton Williams as Jamie New, Shane Richie as Hugo/Loco Chanelle, George Sampson as Dean and Sharan Phull as Pritti Pasha.
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is the award-winning hit musical for today— bang up to date, more relevant than ever and specially updated for the times we live in.
Jamie New is 16 and lives on a council estate in Sheffield — but he doesn’t quite fit in.
The story follows Jamie’s journey to find his true self, helped by kind-hearted others along the way.
The show has been made into a major film by New Regency, Film4 and Sheffield-based production company, Warp Films starring Max Harwood.
Layton Williams has been playing Jamie New in the Everybody’s Talking About Jamie West End production since 2019.
On screen, Layton is known for playing the character Kylie in the BBC’s Beautiful People, and for playing the lead alongside Jack Whitehall in the critically acclaimed BBC comedy, Bad Education and follow up film.
Shane Richie has also had a hugely successful career in theatre, film and television spanning four decades.
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will run in Nottingham from next Wednesday to Sunday.
