A community theatre company are back for pantomime with a twist.

When widow Mrs Ladd, and her son Jim Ladd find themselves wondering how to pay the bills at their old seashore inn the Admiral Benblowers.

The pair find themselves hosts to pirates, in dispute about a missing treasure map, including Cyrene, a girl jilted by a seafarer, who has taken on the form of an avenging mermaid, and Broadside Betty, the most fearsome pirate known to man — and of course there’s a parrot.

The production promises lots of fun, jokes, singing and dancing, and a devious murder for the audience to solve afterwards.

Performances will take place at Southwell Library, King Street, Southwell, from Friday, December 6, until Sunday, December 8, at 7.30pm.

Tickets, which can be bought from Southwell Library or Southwell Theatre Club’s Ticket Source, are £10 and include a light supper, and a bar is available.
