Nottingham Symphonic Wind Orchestra to perform Music from the Movies in aid of The Children’s Bereavement Centre, at Newark Palace Theatre
Silver screen soundtracks are to be played live in a charity concert — bigger and better than ever before.
The Nottingham Symphonic Wind Orchestra’s annual Music from the Movies concert, in aid of the Children’s Bereavement Centre, will this year take place in the 600-seat Palace Theatre, rather than its usual 80-ticket venue in Newark Town Hall.
The orchestra will perform iconic tracks from films including Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The Incredibles, and Pirates of the Caribbean — promising an exhilarating musical journey through some of the most well-known film scores of all time.
Despite sharing the sounds of a galaxy far, far away, the concert will raise funds for cause close to home, helping the Newark-based charity continue its work to support bereaved children, young people, and their families.
“The support from the Nottingham Symphonic Wind Orchestra is truly incredible,” said Katie Gibson, from the Children’s Bereavement Centre.
“This concert will not only be a fantastic night of music but will also make a real difference in the lives of local children and families coping with the loss of a loved one.”
The charity concert will take place on Saturday, May 17, with tickets available from the Palace Theatre box off
