The set is taking shape for the final production of the season to be staged by Robin Hood Theatre Company.

An adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Witches will be performed at the Robin Hood Theatre, Averham, from June 20-24.

Adapted for stage by David Wood, it tells the story of Boy and his Grandmother who encounter the Grand High Witch and her followers and have to do battle to prevent them changing children into mice.

It was turned into a hit film starring Anjelica Huston in 1990.

The show is suitable for children and, for the first time since the theatre re-opened, there will be a Saturday matinee at 2pm as well as evening performances at 7.30pm.

Tickets costing £10 are available from the Robin Hood Theatre website or by calling 07733 179986.
