Nottinghamshire County Council say 32 pothole road in Newark will be fixed
A road with 32 potholes will be fixed — but calls for a full road resurfacing remain.
The potholes on Strawberry Hall Lane, Newark were reported to Via East Midlands by county councillor Debbie Darby who said that many of them have been there for well over a year.
Patch repairs were requested following recent bad weather which caused the road surface to deteriorate further.
Councillor Darby said: “I have been advised that the potholes will be fixed by the end of March with hot lay tarmac — which in my view is not good enough.
“I have asked them to expedite the 32 repairs and reconsider my call for a full patch repair.”
She has previously referred to Nottinghamshire County Council as the worst graffiti artists in Newark, as highways workers spray paint around potholes to mark them for repair.
