Lane closed following crash causing heavy traffic on A1 north of Tuxford

A crash on the A1 and a closed lane are leading to sever traffic delays.

There are severe delays of 42 minutes and increasing on the A1 northbound from West Markham to the B1164 (Carlton / Sutton / Kneesall Turn Off) and on B1164.

Traffic is moving at an average speed of five mph.

The road was briefly closed but has now has partially reopened, with one lane remaining closed on the A1 northbound at A57 Cliff Gate (Markham / Walesby Junction).

The lane closure is causing congestion to Tuxford with an estimated travel time of 15 minutes.
