Business founder Robert Boyles and family taking on Herriot Way walking challenge in Yorkshire, in aid of Children’s Bereavement Centre in Newark.

To celebrate a decade in business, the founder of a building company and his family will be taking on a gruelling charity walking challenge.

Robert Boyles, of Maplebeck, set up R. J. Boyles Building Services 10 years ago and to mark this milestone achievement, will be raising money for Newark-based charity, the Children's Bereavement Centre.

Alongside his wife Charlotte, and their three children Annabel, 13, Chloe, 12, and Jonny, 9, the family have decided embark on the challenge of walking the Herriot Way, a picturesque 52-mile hike through the beautiful surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales.

The walk will take place across four days, starting on May 26.

Currently the Boyles family have managed to raise over £300, and all money donated will go towards helping the Children's Bereavement Centre support children facing the heart-breaking reality of losing a loved one to sudden death or terminal diagnosis.

The Centre offers a safe space for children to begin the healing process, proving guidance, allowing them to share their feelings, and connecting with others who may be going through the same experience.

Robert said: “We've been training together, and while we know it will be physically demanding, we are excited to tackle this challenge as a family.

“We would be incredibly grateful for any support you can provide. Every donation, big or small, will help to ensure that the Children's Bereavement Centre can continue to offer their vital services.

“Your generous contributions will help provide counselling, support groups, and resources for children who need it most.”

“Together, we can help bring hope and healing to children facing grief.”

Robert has been a fully-qualified bricklayer for over 16 years and in 2015 became a member of the Federation of Master Builders.

Since then, his business and so his team of experienced tradesmen has grown, now working on jobs across Newark and Sherwood and the rest of Nottinghamshire.
