Changes to council bin collections over Christmas and New Year in Newark and Sherwood and Rushcliffe

Councils have announced changes to bin collections scheduled over the Christmas and New Year period.

These changes will mean residents may need to place their bins out on an alternative day to their regular collections.

Newark and Sherwood District Council shared their changes on Facebook.

If your bin is due to be collected on Monday December 26, it will instead be collected on Saturday December 24.

All other collection days will remain unaffected.

The district council ask that residents ensure their bins are presented for collection in the usual location by 6am as refuse teams cannot return to collect bins that are not presented on the correct day.
