Collingham Remembrance Sunday services at All Saints' Church and war memorial
Village groups came together in commemoration of the fallen for a Remembrance Sunday service.
Anglican and Methodist churches joined together in an act of remembrance and unity at the war memorial in All Saints' Church in Collingham.
A short service at the war memorial was led by Revd. Mandy Cartwright where an Act of Remembrance, reading of names and laying of wreaths took place at 10.45am.
On the strike of 11am the church bells rang and trumpeter Roger Bryan of Newark Town Band played the Last Post and Reveille.
Roger first played at a Remembrance service 64 years ago in Collingham.
This was then followed by a service inside of the church in which hymns, reading and talk from Revd. Cartwright took place in which she spoke about the service of the late Queen Elizabeth II and her connection with the armed forces and youth organisations such as the Scouts and the Girl Guides.
The services were attended by the Royal British Legion, veterans, parish council and other village organisations as well as uniformed organisations including the Scouts, Guides and Cubs.
