Coronavirus: College open days at Newark, Lincoln and Gainsborough colleges postponed
Open days and welcome days at Newark, Lincoln and Gainsborough colleges have been postponed due to coronavirus.
Lincoln College Group, which manages the three sites, said enrolment will not be affected.
It said: "In the interests of maintaining a safe environment for our students and staff and in the interests of ceasing any activity that increases risks to the wider community, Lincoln College is postponing the following open days and welcome days.
"New dates will be advertised when possible."
- Newark Welcome Day March 18
- Lincoln Open Day March 19
- Gainsborough Open Day March 21
- Newark Open Day March 28
- Lincoln Welcome Day April 4
The college said: "Don’t worry, this won’t affect your chances of securing a college place.
"Our advice is to find the course of your choice via our website and to submit an application.
"You’re not committed to anything by doing this, but it means that when the coronavirus situation becomes clear, we will be able to invite you in for your Welcome day to have your interview and a taster lesson.
"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that these postponements case, but we believe it is the right thing to do for our students, staff and the wider community."
