Nottinghamshire Police issue update after reports of a crash causing traffic delays on A1 north of Newark between North Muskham and South Muskham




Police update on slow moving A1 traffic following reports of a crash this morning.

Nottinghamshire Police have issued an update about the A1 : "Police were called to the A1 southbound, between North Muskham and South Muskham, at around 7.15am this morning (Thursday October 20 2022) following reports a lorry had broken down."

"Recovery of the vehicle is taking place and the road is expected to fully reopen soon."

The carriageway was partially blocked due to the broken down lorry on the A1 north of Newark, between North Muskham and South Muskham, near to the South Muskham/Caunton turn off.

Delays reached a peak of 18 minutes with an average speed of ten mph, but travel times are expected to return to normal shortly.

The incident was first reported to the AA at 6.50am this morning.
