Families enjoy Beaumond House annual Easter activities fundraiser in Newark Market Place
Families made the most of the bank holiday sunshine and enjoyed dozens of town centre activities.
Beaumond House hosted their annual Easter fun day in Newark Market Place on Good Friday, which aimed to raise funds for the work their do providing support and care for those in end of life treatment.
The day was filled with fun activities including inflatable obstacles and bouncy castles, crazy golf and football games, a toy tombola and face painting, and even egg and spoon races.
Radio Newark provided live commentary and music, and live acts also performed to keep everyone happy.
Beaumond House fundraising co-oridnator, Matt Colbourne, said: “The support has been absolutely fantastic.
“This is our third year running this Easter fun day now and we are thilled to be able to put it on again.
“It is still a difficult time for many families, so to be able to do something affordable which everyone can enjoy is important.
“The fact that so many people have come out to support and donated is great, and I want to say thank you.”
Danny Purves of DP Academy, who provided a penalty shoot out game on the day with prizes, said: “This was a great opportunity to support the charity and show what we’re all about.
“We’ve been really busy and the kids have been having a great time.”
Children could take part in a number of different football challenges to be in with a chance of winning some big prizes, including a draw for tickets to a Manchester City first team game.”
Beamound House also thanked Newark Town Council, who allowed them to use the Market Place.
