Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service crews attending barn fire in Southwell including specialist units from Mansfield, Worksop and Stockhill

Fire crews are currently responding to the scene of a barn fire.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are attending the blaze on Greaves Lane near Southwell.

The service say they likely to be on scene until the evening and ask the public to avoid the area to allow firefighters to work.

Eight fire engines are in attendance, including Worksop's water bowser, Mansfield's command support vehicle, and Stockhill's Environmental Protection Unit.

UPDATE: Fire crews have now extinguished the fire.

Due to smoke in the area, residents are asked to keep windows and doors closed.
