Transform Middlebeck fitness studio marks a year of bringing new community together
A fitness training studio in Middlebeck is celebrating its first anniversary after spending the past year bringing the community together through exercise.
The open of the business formed part of the developer Urban and Civic’s Middlebeck, and is already helping new residents to keep active and chase fitness goals.
Craig and Nathan run small group PT sessions every week at their studio next to GAnnets Café, have working with local sports teams, and soon will offer sessions in care homes too.
Founder and personal trainer, Craig Allwood, said: “It’s been an amazing first year for Transform Middlebeck.
“We’ve built up a strong client base, most of whom are from Middlebeck itself, and who vary from long-term membership clients to people who take part in our various challenges.
“The feedback has been that people love having us right on their doorstep, it’s easy and convenient. The fact we offer small group sessions means there is a real community feel.
“We do a consultation before people sign up and a lot of the time they say they want to get to know people. They might have come from London or moved from somewhere else and a lot say they want to meet people from the area, and this is a great way to do it.”
Mark Redding, Communications and Partnerships Manager for Urban and Civic at Middlebeck, said: “It’s great to see how Transform Middlebeck has become such a key part of the community, offering a valuable amenity right on the doorstep of people who live here, and providing another great reason to move to Middlebeck.
“As well as Transform Middlebeck, we are fortunate to have the Sustrans Route 64 running right through this community, providing our residents with connections to the Nottinghamshire countryside and an opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy walking and cycling.”
