Reader’s letter: Give festival your support

I hope those who can will support Newark Festival 2024 and enjoy its eclectic musical and artistic offering.

With music from some of the best local artists in the afternoon at the castle on Saturday and Sunday, August 24-25.

It concludes with a family fun day on the Monday from 11am, followed by the evening brass band crescendo with a laser show finale.

On the Saturday evening, at a dozen other venues in the town, there should be something for everyone with some 50 bands and solo artists.

We are pleased and honoured that Chris Miggells will bring the Piano Experience to Newark Parish Church at 5pm on Saturday. This will include his original work such as
Aurora.

All the events are free and pre-booking is not required.

Venues will feature rock, acoustic, soul, jazz, DJ's and (for those who miss the Blues Festival), blues from artists from across the county.

There will also be the opportunity to give to local charit-ies.
