Gym worry

I cannot be the only one to be saddened by the demise of the gym at Bingham Leisure Centre that has gone from a clean, bright, well-maintained environment to its current state — dirty and scruffy.

The locks do not work on the entry door and ladies’ changing room, equipment is frequently out of service for weeks at a time, there are ongoing problems with the heating system and disaffected staff remain closeted in the office attached to the gym. No wonder they have become demotivated.

In my view the downturn commenced when Parkwood Leisure started “working in partnership with your local authority” as it proclaims on the promotional material.

Perhaps someone could explain who is absent from this partnership and why. Clearly it isn’t working.
