Newark Advertiser Reader Letters: Honour in order for brave police officer

First of all congratulations are in order for the rescue of the unfortunate lady who threw herself in the Trent in what was clearly an act of desperation.

We should count ourselves very fortunate if we can overcome all the uncertainties with the trials of life.

It is not everyone who is equipped to deal with life’s problems and there are many.

So to the brave policeman Pc Oliver Wood, well done to you Sir.

I am one who is often critical of our police force but you young man exemplify all that is good and honourable to wear the uniform.

I sincerely hope your act of bravery does not go unrecognised to the local authorities. Well done again. — CHRIS HOBBY, Newark.
