Housebuilder Honey submits plans to deliver 170 new homes with £45m development in Witham St Hughs, Lincolnshire
Plans to build 170 new homes in a rural Lincolnshire village have been submitted.
The plans have been put forward by the housebuilder Honey, which would see a £45m development built in the village of Witham St Hughs.
Located just off Warren Lane and close to the A46, the proposed site encompasses 12.3 acres.
Subject to planning approval by North Kesteven District Council, the development, to be named Nova, will comprise a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes, and feature 17 different house types.
All properties will come equipped with an electric vehicle charging point, and include bi-fold doors, fully integrated kitchens, and boutique style bathrooms with a free standing bath as standard.
Of the proposed 170 homes, 28 have also been allocated as affordable housing.
The developers say that the site in Witham St Hughs has been designed to be in keeping with the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan, which looks to ensure that all new homes are well-designed and in appropriate locations to benefit communities.
If given the go ahead by the district council, the developers hope work can begin in early 2025, with the first residents expected to move in by the end of next year.
Honey chief executive, Mark Mitchell, said: "Our thorough market research identified Witham St Hughs as a popular residential location for us to build in and expand our development footprint in the East Midlands.
“We are seeing strong demand for high-specification homes from prospective buyers living in and looking to move to the local area. Our thoughtfully designed homes, which combine style, substance and sustainability will satisfy this.
“Now that we have exchanged contracts and submitted plans for our Nova development, we look forward to North Kesteven District Council considering our proposal.”
The housebuilder is backed by private equity firm Alchemy Partners and its Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund IV.
