Plans submitted to Newark and Sherwood District Council by ADSDF Architects for 12 new commercial industrial units on Jessop Way, Newark
Plans have been submitted for a number of new units on an industrial estate that have been put forward.
An application to build 12 commercial industrial units with associated parking has been submitted to Newark and Sherwood District Council by ADSDF Architects on behalf of Mr Chris Coen.
These units will be split across two blocks, made up from black bricks and black metal cladding, with a central courtyard for vehicle parking and bike storage — there will also be bin storage on site.
The site, on Jessops Close, is within the Newark Industrial Estate area and access to the site has previously been approved by the planning authority.
The applicant states that the units, which feature large loading bay doors, and window at ground and mezzanine level, will be for flexibile use whether general industrial, storage or distribution, sale of food and drink, professional services, other commercial or business services, sport, fitness, or offices.
The proposal also includes solar panels to provide sustainable energy to the units.
Each unit is approximately 90 sq metres, with the option of a mezzanine that is 62 sqr metres, with an overall site area of 3,178 sq metres.
Environmental health has raised no comments and biodiversity consultants have said there will be no impact on green space.
Newark and Sherwood District Council will make a decision on the application at a later date.
