Work underway on latest phase of homes at The Foresters in Middlebeck near Newark by developer Bellway
Work is underway on the third phase of a major housing project on the edge of Newark.
This latest phase of The Foresters at Middlebeck development will provide 106 homes for the area and is set to launch in January.
101 of the properties will be available for private sale and as well as five affordable homes for low-cost rent or shared ownership featuring a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom houses.
Housing developer Bellway started work on The Foresters at Middlebeck in February 2018, with the initial two phases providing 138 properties for the area.
The 7.5-acre development off Bowbridge Lane is part of a wider scheme by a consortium of homebuilders to deliver around 3,150 homes on the southern edge of Newark.
Kenny Lattimore, sales manager for Bellway East Midlands, said: “Embarking on this latest phase represents an important milestone in what is a hugely significant project for Newark.
"The popularity of the first two phases at The Foresters at Middlebeck underlines the strong demand for new homes in the area. Launching phase three will enable us to continue meeting the needs of local housebuyers.
“Places to live are much needed in this area, and the construction of the wider 3,150-home neighbourhood is vital for this growing town.
“The location has so much to offer in terms of local amenities and transport connections, with Newark town centre a mile and a half away and the A1 and A46 nearby.”
A property currently available at The Foresters at Middlebeck is the four-bedroom Lowesby showhome, priced at £350,000.
The showhome includes an open-plan kitchen/dining room, an en-suite for the master bedroom, a garage and is sold fully-furnished.
