More than 200 houses in Newark affected by power cut says National Grid due to fault in overhead network




National Grid engineers are currently working to restore power to more than 400 houses affected by a power cut.

A power outage was first reported in the NG24 postcode area at around 1pm this afternoon.

The reason for the outage has been found to be a fault with the overhead network.

The power company advises that residents may experience their supply turning off and on while engineers work to resolve the issue.

Most households affected are within the Farndon Road and Hawton Road areas of Newark.

It is estimated that full power will not be restored until 8pm this evening.
