A fence has been erected to protect an electrical substation after the previous brick wall was destroyed in an apparent act of vandalism
The sub-station — located on Haddon Drive, Balderton — had the new fence installed last week, five weeks on from the collapse of the previous wall.
A resident who noticed the damage originally has praised the work put into making the location safe again.
The incident was originally reported to Newark and Sherwood District Council in September.
The damage was also reported to the National Grid, who inspected the site along with police due to suspected criminal damage.
No further details have been revealed about what caused the damage to the original brick wall.
