Daisy Dymyd : Police investigate after "fake" Facebook fundraising page set up
Police are investigating after a fake fundraising account was set up following the death of six-year-old Tuxford girl Daisy Dymyd.
Daisy died at Sheffield Children's Hospital after being found unresponsive at a house on Lincoln Road, on Monday.
On Thursday, her family paid tribute to their "beautiful daughter".
However, Nottinghamshire Police have now issued a warning for people not to donate to the fundraising page.
A statement said: "We’ve been made aware of a fake fundraising account that has been set up, which is allegedly raising money for Daisy Dymyd’s family.
"Daisy tragically died earlier this week and her family has asked for privacy at this difficult time.
"Please do not donate to the page. Her family is not raising money for her funeral and we are investigating."
No arrests have been made in connection with the death, and the police are passing a file to the coroner.
