Nottinghamshire Police respond to incident in residential area on Wolsey Road, Newark

A large number of police officers were called to respond to an incident in Newark yesterday afternoon.

Nottinghamshire Police say they were called to an address on Wolsey Road at around 2.40pm over concerns for a person's safety.

Several police cars and the police helicopter were reportedly involved in the incident.

A police spokesman said that investigations were still ongoing.
