Nottinghamshire Police to help public and businesses combat cyber threats with online seminars
Two webinars to help people protect themselves against cybercrime are to be held by Nottinghamshire Police.
The aim of these sessions is to help businesses and the public understand what cybercrime is and learn how to protect yourself from it both at home and at work.
This will include identifying what makes a strong password and managing passwords, as well as explaining what two-factor-authentication is and more.
The online seminars will be free to attend, lasting for one-hour each and take place on Monday October 10 at 11am and 1pm.
Both sessions will be held by Nottinghamshire Police’s Cyber Protect team and can be attended by people across the East Midlands.
Cyber Protect and Prevent officer Kirsty Jackson said: “You don’t need to be a computer expert to avoid becoming a victim of cybercrime.
“Places are limited so please book as soon as possible.” — this can be done HERE.
"Just developing a few good online habits can drastically reduce the risk of you becoming a victim of cybercrime and that’s why we’re hosting these webinars."
