Nottinghamshire Police drink driving on e-scooters warning




Police have warned of the dangers of drink driving while on e-scooters.

E-scooters of all kinds are covered by the same drinking and driving rules as other vehicles, therefore riding e-scooters whilst under the influence of alcohol is against the law.

It could lead to the loss of a driving licence, or ability to take a test in the future if an individual does not hold a full licence.

As well as this, driving a e-scooter whilst under the influence of alcohol poses a danger to other road users, pedestrians and the driver themself.

In the vast majority of all accidents involving e-scooters, the only person injured is the one on the e-scooter.
