Reader’s letter: Power to change

As the election looms all those who regularly complain about the police and councils should think hard about who gets elected.

It seems there’s lots of annoying policies and a lack of funding which stop things happening the way we want at a local level — but it’s rarely the people on the ground who can change it.

Its time to look to the top of the food chain.

So, when you put a mark on your ballot remember those people are the ones with the real power to change things, if they want to. — A. GREEN, Newark.
