Reform UK to field candidates in upcoming General Election on July 4, candidate for Newark, Robert Hall-Palmer, and candidate for Sherwood Forest, Helen Rose O'Hare
Looking to throw a spanner into the works during this General Election are Reform UK, who are fielding candidates across the area.
Robert Hall-Palmer is the party’s candidate for Newark, and in the Sherwood Forest constituency Helen Rose O'Hare will stand.
They outlined their priorities along the lines of Reform’s national aims.
The party wants to see the end of the BBC license fee, stands strongly against the policies of Net Zero on climate change, and wants to see more legal powers to manage the migrant crisis.
The Reform UK party was founded off the back of UKIP and its anti-EU agenda. In Newark and Sherwood 60% voted to leave the EU during the Brexit Referendum.
The UK General Election is scheduled to take place on July 4. The candidates so-far confirmed for the Newark constituency are (listed alphabetically):
