Newark Civic Trust to host talk about Newark during second world war at Newark Library ahead of VE Day 80th anniversary




As the country prepares to celebrate the 80th anniversary of V E Day, a special talk will focus on the history of Newark during the second world war.

On Thursday (April 24), the Newark Civic Trust will host a talk at Newark Library, titled ‘Newark in World War Two’.

The talk is being organised to commemorate the upcoming 80th anniversary of V E Day on May 8.

Kevin Winter from the Newark and Sherwood Museum Service will give the talk, which will have a £2 entry for non-members.
