Vintage tractors shine at Collingham and District Agricultural Society ploughing match which raised money for Turkey earthquake appeal
An array of vintage tractors were on show at a society's annual ploughing match.
Collingham and District Agricultural Society held a Spring Ploughing match near Swinderby on Sunday February 26 by kind permission of G.H Chennells Farm Ltd.
Nearly 100 ploughmen entered the competition across ten classes, with the event starting at 10am and lasting until early afternoon.
Various vintage tractors and ploughs were entered as well as garden tractors.
The Collingham Young Farmers were also in attendance with a modern tractor and plough, kindly loaned by Sharmans for the public to have a go on.
A raffle was held on the day in aid of the Turkey earthquake appeal, which raised £501 and will be matched by Government.
A cheque was also presented to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institiution from the Collingham and District Agricultural Society annual dinner raffle.
