Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service warn of flammable costumes ahead of Halloween




The fire service have warned about the dangers of flammable costumes ahead of Halloween as part of International Product Safety Week.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service posted the message along with a video demonstrating the issue to their social media channels.

The social media post read: "With Halloween just around the corner, have you got your costume?

"This International Product Safety Week, we're reminding everyone to take care with flammable costumes around open flames."

The video shows an open flame being presented to a children's witch Halloween costume, which immediately starts to spread as the outfit bursts into flames.

The public should take care around open flames and double check the fire safety labels of their costumes.
