Santa Clause is coming to town and this is where you can see him around the Advertiser area.
Both Newark Round Table and Southwell and District Lions have organised Santa sleigh floats to tour their towns and surrounding villages spreading Christmas cheer and raising money for charity.
NEWARK

The dates for this year's Newark Round Table Santa sleigh have been revealed.
Santa will tour through local towns and villages spreading Christmas cheer and raising money for charity.
This year the sleigh will sport of new look after it recently underwent a redesign and refurbishment in a collaboration between Newark Round Table and students from Newark College.
Due to the popularity of the annual sleigh rides, an additional date in Middlebeck has been added to this year's schedule.
The sleigh will arrive at roughly 6pm and finish around 8pm each night. The exceptions are in Fernwood which will start around 4.30pm and in Newark Market Place, which will be an all day event.

SOUTHWELL

The timings for the Lions' Santa Float have been released, with three weeks of merriment planned around towns and villages.
The Southwell and District Lions will be touring Southwell and the surrounding villages to spread Christmas cheer to children, parents and grandparents over three weeks.
The full schedule has been released, but timings are approximate and anyone wanting to see the float should listen out for the music as the sleigh approaches.
A longer schedule means all households will be visited before 8.30pm each night.
On Wednesday, December 7, the float will visit Morton, around the Full Moon, from 6pm, Gravelly Lane, Longmead Drive, Main Street, Station Road, Marlock Close and Green Lane in Fiskerton from 6.30pm and Fiskerton Road, Staythorpe Rd and all cul de sacs up to Goodwin Court in Rolleston from 7.30pm.
On Thursday, December 8, the tour will continue through Farnsfield, visiting Southwell Road and Esam Close from 6pm, Parfitt Drive, Irving Close, Carding Close and the bottom of Ridgeway from 6.30pm, Ridgeway Close , The Ridgeway, D’Ayncourt Walk and Meadow Close from 7pm, Long Meadow, Pasture Way, Milldale Rd and associated cul de sacs from 7.30pm and Brickyard Lane and Nether Court from 8pm.
On Friday, December 9, the sleigh will head to Southwell, touring the Ropewalk, Monckton Drive, Manor Close and Appletree Close from 6pm, Private Road, Leeks Close, Kirklington Road and Glenfields from 6.30pm, Hopkiln Lane, Woodland Drive and Birchwood Close from 7pm, Pinewood Close, the rest of Woodland Drive and Fern Close from 7.30pm, ending with Leeway Road and Nursery End from 8pm.
On Saturday, December 10, Santa and the float will in the Coop car park, Southwell, from 8.30am to 1pm.
Monday, December 12, will see the Lions back in Farnsfield, on Far Back Lane, Branston Avenue, Station Lane and Spring Lane from 6pm, Spring Court, Station Lane, Fletcher Court and Birch Avenue from 6.30pm, Trail View, St Michael’s View, Yates Croft and Browns Court from 7pm, Cocketts Lane and Murdoch Close from 7.30pm, and Mansfield Road, Main Street and the cul de sacs to the Plough from 8pm.
On Tuesday, December 13, the float will visit Gibsmere from 6pm, then head to Bleasby where it will visit Main Street, Gypsy Lane and Sycamore Lane from 6.20pm, Elmores Meadow, Hawthorn Close, Orchard Close, Manor Close and then Bleasby Road in Thurgarton from 7pm, then Beck Street and Priory Park from 8pm.
On Thursday, December 15, Santa will return to Southwell. The float will visit Halam Road, Adams Row, Humberstone Road, Jubilee, Tathams Orchard and Brook Walk from 6pm, Woodland View, Hillcrest and Chatsworth Avenue from 6.30pm, Beaumont Avenue, May Hill, Halam Road and The Riddings from 7pm, Hopewell Rise from 7.30pm and Allenby Road, Vicarage Road, Trinity Road, Handford Court, Warrands Close and if time allows, Westhorpe from 8pm.
Friday, December 16, the tour of Southwell continues on Leeway Road, Arnold Avenue, Silvey Avenue and part of Springfield Road from 6pm, Norwood Gardens and Town Mill Close from 6.30pm, Ridgeway from 7.15pm, Orchard Close and Avondale Lane from 7.30pm and Springfield Road from 8pm.
Saturday, December 17 will see the float outside the Admiral Rodney, Southwell, from 8.30am to 1pm.
On Monday, December 19, the route continues through Southwell, starting with Lowes Wong, Dunham Close and Wands Close from 6pm, Westgate, Nottingham Road and Becketts Field from 6.30pm, Halloughton Road, The Rise and Halloughton Close from 7pm, Westgate, Micklebarrow Close and Landseer Road from 7.30pm and Hillside, Ashtree Close, Honing Drive and Westgate Mews from 8pm.
Tuesday, December 20, will cover the final streets in Farnsfield. It will start at Quaker Lane, Gregory Gardens and part of Tippings Lane from 6pm, Powell Court and Tippings Lane to Main Street from 6.30pm, Church Side, New Hill, Broomfield Lane and Goodwin Court from 7pm, Alexander Road and Abbott Crescent from 7.30pm and Chapel Lane from New Hill to Far Back Lane from 8pm.
More vilages will be visited on Wednesday, December 21. Maythorne will be from 6pm, School Lane, Radley Road, Manor Fields and Back Lane in Halam from 6.30pm, Main Steet and Station Road in Edingley from 7pm, and Southwell Road to the Green in Kirklington from 7.30pm.
On Thursday, December 22, the sleigh returns to Southwell, starting at Newark Road, Cannons Close, Heywood Close and Meadow View from 6pm, Newark Road, Greet Park Close, Marrison Way, Templemans Way and Chimes Meadow from 6.30pm, Crew Lane Close, Palmers Court, Bramley Close and Easthorpe from 7pm, Fiskerton Road, Cottams Close, Ruby’s Court and Easthorpe from 7.30pm and Farthingate, Wakeling Close, Farthingate Close and Church Street from 8pm.
Friday, December 23, will see the final streets in Southwell visited. Part of Lower Kirklington Road, Kirkby Close, Crafts Way and Caudwell Close will be toured from 6pm, Merryweather Close, Raysmith Close, Stenton Close and Archers Field from 6.30pm, Byron Gardens, Dover Street and Chatham Street from 7pm, Station Road and Riverside from 7.30pm and Dornoch Avenue and Becher’s Court from 8pm.
Any last minute changes to the route will be posted on the Lions' Facebook page and website.
This year Santa's helpers will be knocking on doors again, but understand if residents prefer not to answer.
Donations to help the Lions support others, can be made through the contactless card readers as well as the normal buckets on the sleigh and a donation link on the website.
