Men charged with conspiracy to commit burglary




Three men arrested after a car allegedly failed to stop for police in Newark have appeared in court.

The men were charged with conspiracy to commit burglary across the East Midlands between June 1 and July 18.

Mr James Dean Evans, 26, of Ewen Road, South Cerney, Gloucestershire; Mr John Dixon, 23, of Yorke Drive, Newark; and Mr Sean Patrick Steele, 43, of Jubilee Street, Newark, were remanded into custody when they appeared before Lincoln magistrates. They are due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on August 21.

The arrests were made after a vehicle crashed into a number of others on Lombard Street, Newark, on Tuesday July 18, while it was being pursued by police.

A fourth man, Mr Bobby Parr, 26, of no fixed abode, was arrested in St Marks Place in Newark the following day and appeared in court alongside the other three.

He was also remanded into custody until August 21.
