A1 closed in both directions at Long Bennington

Police are urging motorists to avoid using the A1 following a lorry fire.

The carriageway is currently closed in both directions.

Lincolnshire Police say they hope to open the northbound carriageway in around 30 minutes.

However, the southbound carriageway, where the blaze occurred is likely to remain closed for the foreseeable future.

Police say the lorry was carrying fertiliser.
